Further down ridgeline blueberries are abundant under white oak and chestnut oak. Park bottoms are mowed recreation areas. Hills are bisected by mountain bike and hiking trails.;Hilltop in dissected plateau landscape. West slope of north to south running ridge is a dry microsite. Sandstone bedrock is exposed in plot. Community is a deciduous forest dominated by medium-large white and chestnut oak which are somewhat stunted and contorted. There is moderately tall shrub cover by hop hornbeam, beech and red maple but very little cover in short shrub layer - instead there is moderate cover by grasses-sedges-forbs - reason for lack of blueberries is obscure - possibly due to clay soils.
